Popping bubble wrap provides a monotonous task which aids with relaxation. the repetition of the task helps to trigger an almost meditative state which, for me, helps me to de-stress and maintain normal functioning.
The printing of the bubble wrap offered the same kind of experience, because the process is the same everytime:
Put ink on desired bubble wrap.
Press paper to inked bubble wrap.
Leave to dry
This repetition allowed for a parallel between popping the bubbles and producing the images.
I find that the monotony of tasks helps to clear my head and allows me time to process my thoughts without the distraction of new ones.
